The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has reacted to the plight of teachers with regards to their salary.
In a short audio circulating on social media, the President made some controversial statements that might not go down well with teachers.
He said that one cannot work as a teacher and expect to earn six figures or in other words, be a millionaire. He added that it doesn’t exist in any part of the world.
He advised that those that will want to become millionaires will have to do other things aside teaching.
“I don’t know that anywhere in the world, that people go into teaching expecting to become millionaires and make money. If you want to do that, you do other things,” the president said.
