The 2020 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Oforikrom, Henry Osei Akoto has warned a former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu who served under the Mahama-led administration to stop attacking the former President.
The former KMA Mayor has been in the news for calling for a change of flagbearer for the NDC going into the 2020 election.
Mr Kojo Bonsu has declared his intention to contest for the flagbearership and has since being causing a lot of confusion in the NDC, which has shown in all indications that they are entering into 2024 elections with Mahama as the flagbearer.
Meanwhile, Henry Osei Akoto who was an aide to the former Mayor between 2013 to 2016 has called on him to stop attacking the former President.
In posts on his social media handles, Mr Henry Osei Akoto pledged his allegiance to John Mahama and swore to descend on Kojo Bonsu if his “unwarranted attacks” on John Mahama don’t stop immediately.
Read his post below:
I have worked closely with Kojo Bonsu from 2013 to 2016 and he is a good person. But, his unwarranted attacks on John Dramani Mahama should stop or else some of us will have no option but to descend on him.
JDM continues to have the undiluted support of the Ashanti Region from bottom up!The youth are behind JM solidly, the elderly and the leaders of the party in the Ashanti Region are also solidly behind the candidacy of John Dramani Mahama and Kojo Bonsu’s irritating propaganda will not wash. The JDM Agenda is more than a Religion!!!
Kojo Bonsu had formerly expressed interest in contesting for the NDC flagbearership prior to the 2020 election but failed to file his nominations.
