The money raised from the funds is used to improve areas like as welfare, education, development, and disaster assistance. In the year 2020, the SANZAF served around 1,432,805 people in South Africa alone. It distributed R 27,000,000 in education the previous year.

Individual members of the Muslim community donate to the Islamic organization, which is sponsored by individual individuals who desire to aid others in the Muslim community.

SANZAF Zakah Bursary 2022

Every year, SANZAF offers bursaries to a set number of students. One type of Saqadat is to assist others. SANZAF’s bursaries are designed to assist students who are unable to complete their studies due to financial constraints.

The SANZAF Zakah bursary, which is awarded to all qualifying South African students regardless of subject of study, is known as the SANZAF Zakah bursary.

The amount of the bursary will be decided on an individual basis. If the demand is strong, the amount will be high as well. The bursary will cover costs such as registration fees, tuition (part or full), lodging, and meals, among other things.

Payments for the bursary will be issued directly to the tertiary institution where you are enrolled. Shortlisted candidates will receive additional information.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the SANZAF bursary program, you must meet all of the requirements. These are laid out by the organization in order to choose candidates from a pool of applicants.

If you fail to meet any of the conditions, your application will be rejected. As a result, always double-check the following SANZAF bursary 2022 requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen. Foreign nationals with a study permit are also considered
  • Must be residing in the province where you’re applying
  • Must be financially constrained
  • Must belong to a previously disadvantaged background
  • Must be either studying in Matric or have completed Matriculation
  • Must be either sponsored by a family member or yourself last year or sponsored by SANZAF last year
  • Must be either studying or willing to study at a University, University of Technology, or Technikon that’s recognised.
  • Must meet the requirements to be a recipient as defined by SANZAF

Those who have a better academic record or who have a significant financial need are given priority. As a result, meeting all of the eligibility requirements does not guarantee bursary funding. It’s entirely up to SANZAF’s judgment.
