Defence
Thibaut Courtois is set to stay as the undisputed no.1 while Zidane is unlikely to break the Sergio Ramos-Raphael Varane partnership at the back.
Ferland Mendy will reportedly replace Marcelo as the first-choice left-back while Dani Carvajal remains the go-to player on the right side.
Midfield
Casemiro and Toni Kroos are most likely to retain their starting XI places next season while wile Odegaard will be given a chance to stake his claim.
Attack
The 2020/21 campaign will be Eden Hazard’s last chance to prove that he has what it takes to play for the Blancos and the Belgian will be lining up alongside Karim Benzema in attack.
As for the right wing, Rodrygo currently appears to be Zidane’s preferred option with the Frenchman leaving Vinicius Junior out of the squad to face Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16.
