The 2020 Parliamentary candidate for the Oforikrom Constituency under the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Henry Osei Akoto, has disclosed his intention to contest for the position of national organizer of the party.
This is according to a report by Accra based radio station, Happy FM.
He made this unofficial announcement in an interview with Don Kwabena Prah on Happy98.9 FM’s “Epa Hoa Daben” socio-political talk show as he vows to make the party the most revered in Ghana.
“Very soon it will be nationally recognized but I want to make it known here that I’m coming as the national organizer of the NDC. I’m joining the race for the position and I’m going to win. We are going to make sure that the right things are put in place and the party’s constitution works best for Ghanaians to know how powerful of a party we are.” He said.
Henry Osei Akoto earlier indicated that his decision to stand for the executive role as the national organizer for the NDC party was engineered by his aspirations to see able leaders of the party in government positions to change the status quo.
The NDC National Organizer Hopeful assured Ghanaians that the opposition party have plans to embark on a peaceful protest to register their displeasure over poor governance.
