A National Organizer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Henry Osei Akoto has lashed out at President Nana Akufo-Addo over his unfortunate comment about illegal small-scale mining (galamsey) kingpin Aisha Huang’s deportation from the country 4yrs ago.

This follows President Akufo-Addo’s contradictory statement against that of some of his appointees that Aisha Huang was actually deported from Ghana in 2018.

The president made the comment on Stone City Radio in Ho during his tour of the Volta region where he expressed doubt about Aisha Huang’s deportation.

The president’s remarks shocked many after government spokespersons including officials of the Ghana Immigration Service disclosed that, Aisha Huang was deported.

The President’s comment did not go down well with many Ghanaians including a leading member of the NDC, Henry Osei Akoto who took to twitter to vent his anger.

Henry Osei Akoto opined that the president is not in charge of the country if he is not sure whether the embattled galamsey kingpin was deported or not.

“Your Commander In Chief who has employed many people in charge of the country is not sure whether a criminal was deported or not. Such a clueless Commander-in-Chief who doesn’t know what he is about”. Henry Osei Akoto tweeted.

State prosecutors further contradicted the issue after it was revealed in court on Wednesday that Aisha Huang sneaked out of the country contrary to an earlier deportation claim.
