Minister of Communications, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has shared an inspirational story of a 2nd year Physics Student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology following the recent Girls in ICT (GIICT) seminar held in Accra.
Benedicta Dwomoh as described by the Hon. Minister is a brilliant, smart and intelligent young lady driven by passion, compassion, dedication and to her outmost; a hardworking young lady.
Benedicta hails from Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The product of the Fijai Senior High School is the last of her parents’ two girls currently pursuing a 4 year BSc Degree Program in Physics in KNUST.
Stating the reason for her admiration of the young lady, Hon. Ursula Owusu indicated that, Benedicta doesn’t consider her situation; hearing impaired as a drawback or a reason not to survive at reaching the best, howbeit, an opportunity for her to defy the odds to prove a point and impact as well as serve as a route of inspiration for other girls like her.
According to her, Benedicta Dwomoh is hopeful that the sort of life changing knowledge she acquired from Girls in ICT (GIICT) will aid her in all her feature endeavours as she progresses in life.
Also, Benedicta pleads that the initiative be Institutionalised so that more ladies can benefit.
