The Ghana police service has placed a 50k bounty on robbers who killed some two police officers at Zuarungu in the Upper East region.
This means that, for any person that is able to provide information leading to the arrest of these suspects, he/she shall walk home with GHC50000 as a show of appreciation.
The armed robbers were said to have on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, gunned down two police officers who were engaging in normal patrol duties around Zuarungu. The robbers were said to have robbed a 51-year-old businessman of Ghc 2000 at gunpoint before the two officers appeared at the scene without knowledge of the robbery incident. However, upon seeing the officers, the robbers perceived that they were being pursued, and therefore alleged opened fire on the duo killing them instantly.
The police administration has since registered displeasure over the incident and has assured the public, they will do everything to get the perpetrators to book.
