The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Bia East Constituency, Hon. Richard Acheampong, has alleged that former Finance and Senior Minister, Mr. Yaw Osafo–Marfo has been designated to head Public Sector Reforms, an agency under the Office of the President.
Earlier, it was reported that Mr. Osafo Marfo has currently left the Presidency with no intention to return.
In an interview with Kwabena Agyapong, the morning show host of Accra-based radio station, Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, the Lawmaker claimed that the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had named the former Minister as the head of Public Sector Reforms and Senior Advisor at the Office of the President.
According to Hon. Richard, the President has not been honest to Ghanaians as far as this case is concerned.
He also expressed his dismay on the issue. He called on the Presidency to come clean on the issue.
Presently, there has not been any official communique from the office of the Presidency, confirming or denying this speculation.
