An ‘excavator’ ferries Kwabre East BECE candidates to cross dilapidated road in horrifying video
Some students of the Kwabre East Municipality in the Ashanti Region of Ghana had to go an extra length to take part in Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which began on Monday, November 15, 2021.
A video making waves on social media reveals the inhumane means these young students are going through just to get to their examination centres.
The students who are also part of the over 500,000 students sitting for the BECE have been suffering at the hands of dilapidated roads in Kwabre East for a long time. Matters got pretty worse when they got trapped at one end of a road which leads to the exam centre.
They were trapped as a result of rainwater which has flooded the road forming a wide ‘river’ on the road which made it difficult for them to move across. The students had no other choice than to take their last resort, which was a dangerous one.
In the video available to trayonlinegh.com showed the students, their teachers and other locals in the area being ferried across the water by a wheel loader which was the only way they could get to write their examinations.
