An Anglican Priest has been removed from his duties after he was spotted kissing students at Asante Mampong’s St Monica’s College of Education.
After a crucial meeting on Tuesday, sources within the College verified to a 3news media outlet.
In an earlier statement, the Anglican Church of Ghana’s leadership expressed sadness over a video circulating on social media showing one of its priests kissing three female students of St. Monica’s College of Education after a church service.
In an August 17 statement, the church said, “The Church is saddened by the news and wishes to state expressly that a thorough investigation has been instituted into the matter and the action of the said Priest would be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is highly revered in the Church.”
It went on to say that procedures are being put in place to help the students affected recover from their ordeal.
“…every attempt is being made to engage the pupils in question through counselling sessions in order to avoid any psychological concerns that may occur as a result of the viral video.”
