Vice-President Mahamadu Bawumia’s Cape Coast Airport is has started getting shape, a year after the promise made.
The Vice President promised the peope of Cape Coast in August 2020 at the launch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto launch in thr Central Region.

Aside a 600-acre land reportedly secured by government for the project, the then Aviation Minister, Kofi Adda also claimed funding has been secured for the project.
March 2021, the caretaker finance minister, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu said at the reading of 2021 budget statement said that feasibility studies have began on the Cape Coast Airport.
While we wait for government to set the ground rules and complete paperworks for the project to begin, a student of the Central University has taken the lead.
The student has produced a state of the art architectural design that could become the Cape Coast Airport if taken up by the government.
According to a Metro TV broadcast journalist, Annie Afua Ampofo who shared the photos online, the designs were part of the student’s final year thesis.
