The Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Alan Kyeremateng has urged Ghanaians to buy cement from businessman Ibrahim Mahama’s Dzata Cement Factory.
The minister on a working visit to the factory on Monday, commended the President of Engineers and Planners for reposing hope in the local economy by investing heavily.
The Dzata Cement factory owned by the brother of Former President John Mahama and worth $100 Million is located on a 10-acre facility near the Tema Port.

From it’s two production lines, the factory produces an average of 120 bags of cements per minute.
Mr Alan Kyeremateng said the cement industry in the country has been hugely dominated by foreigners which makes it a remarkable feat for Ibrahim Mahama to build a wholly owned Ghanaian cement factory in the country.
The minister’s visit was to aimed at getting first hand information about the factory and the progress made so far. He lauded the businessman for the state of the art technology being employed in production at the factory.
